THE SURREALIST AND THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Film shown along side the two-pronged exhibition of the same name, the Surrealist being Roland Penrose and the photographer Lee Miller. The film uses radio interviews as VO narrative and rostrum footage of art, photography. A rostrum filmed valve radio is used as punctuation throughout.
SPENCE - BACK TO THE FUTURE
GTMP produced 8 films for this touring exhibition which concluded in Coventry Cathedral, Basil Spence’s most treasured project. Using old VHS recordings and BBC archive footage, and drawing on the interpretive graphic style of the exhibition for titles and supers, the final films were played on boxed, curved, 4:3, CRT screens to complete the archival feel of the films.
THE SCOTCH WHISKY EXPERIENCE
GT commissioned the making of a tripod mount to fix the Sony Z1 camera into a horizontal aspect to shoot 3:4. The finished media is presented on portrait-mounted flat screens in the windows of The Scotch Whisky Experience, Edinburgh.
LASONYA - ‘THIS IS HOW WE’RE LIVIN’
GT directed this music video for the title track of ‘Black Gerl’ for New York R&B singer Lasonya Gunter.
MY LAST SENTENCE
Commissioned and chosen to open Channel 4’s ‘The Otherside’ strand. This documentary study follows Peter Wayne and his sidekick, George, during the week after his latest release from gaol. Peter, a very bright man with a passion for architecture, struggles with his prison-acquired crack habit as he tries to stabilise his life on the outside and complete a commission by The Independent newspaper to cover an exhibition at The Lighthouse in Glasgow.
THE TALE OF THE PERSISTENT POACHER
Keith Hall is a ’professional’ poacher, or so the Inland Revenue believe. We filmed him soon after he was sent a tax bill for £40,000 based on estimated earnings over three years. We followed Keith with infrared cameras at night, as well as demonstrating the course of the salmon with an underwater camera, as Keith battles with land owners and the ‘big fish’.

Presenter-led, outdoor adventure show exploring the many adventure pursuits to be enjoyed in the wilds of Scotland. Kite flying and surfing featured in this episode.

When the Heart of Tibet met the Spirit of Scotland. Second unit camera team. Spent 2 days filming the visit of The Dali Lama to Scotland. We had privileged, direct access to this well known and generous figurehead.
DIRECT HOLIDAYS COMMERCIALS - ‘SUMMER SUN’
Production manager of a campaign of commercials filmed over two years in Majorca, Algarve and Cyprus. Commercials show real people enjoying the Direct Holiday experience. Filming included underwater, on sailing boats, in 4x4 off-roaders, around bars, cafes and, of course, by the poolside.

SCOTTISH TOURIST BOARD
Second unit camera for the ongoing project by the Scottish Tourist Board to film and promote the country in all its various forms, from adventure to culture. This shoot included GT filming, whilst paragliding, in tandem, 1000 feet above the peak of Ben Nevis.
