ARABIA INSURANCE COMMERCIAL
GT as location producer, underwater AD and second unit camera with underwater cameraman ANDY MCLEOD in the Canaries for The Fantastic Film Factory (Lebanon). The glass fibre great white shark, ‘Bob’, was built in London and flown out. The cage was constructed in Tenerife. We used a wreck site ideally situated in a sheltered bay, easily accessible within a safe working depth of 10 metres. Filmed over 2 days.
You will become aware of a few aquatic-based productions as you explore GTMP. It is no coincidence as the producer, Gavin Turnbull, has been passionate about the sea for most of his life. From dinghy sailing as a boy to windsurfing, diving and cruiser sailing GT has found many ways to explore the big blue. With HSE commercial accreditation for underwater filming, RYA Motor Boat ICC, Yacht Master theory training and RYA Sailing Cruiser ICC qualifications, Gavin backs up his years of experience and confidence at sea with internationally respected certificates.

Having produced many underwater shoots, such as filming with LOIC LEFERME, who sadly recently died in a training dive, GTMP has completed many underwater filming contracts and provided filming support for other independent producers. These include Tigress Productions’ ‘Sink The Tirpitz’, film- maker DAVID MACKENZIE’s short film, ‘Wanting and Getting’ and the BBCs ‘Outside Now’ adventure show.

GTMP has filmed underwater in Scotland, around the UK, the Mediterranean and the Canaries. GTMP uses FILM CANARY ISLANDS and ANDY MCLEOD in the Canaries, making the most of the great climate and location to produce high quality films, underwater and beyond, all year round.

If you need advice on filming at sea or underwater email your questions and we’ll be happy to provide a solution, whether it be someone in a wetsuit with a camera or a full blown production including a 6-foot glass fibre shark!
